Gallery Talk: Prof. Jennifer Angus

February 6, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Professor Jennifer Angus (Design Studies, School of Human Ecology), presents an interactive gallery talk about her work The Museum of Everything—an immersive installation inspired by Martha Glowacki’s sculpture My Arcadia.

The Museum of Everything / 2020
Inspired by the Chazen collection piece My Arcadia by Martha Glowacki, Angus transforms all of Gallery XVI (16) into an immersive space recalling the tradition of wunderkammer, or cabinets of curiosity. Artworks from the Chazen collection and Angus’s three massive cabinets of curiosity will be surrounded and connected by insects placed upon the walls in intricate patterns, mimicking designs of textiles and wallpaper.
