LACMA | Poetry in Color: A Virtual Slam Celebrating the Life & Legacy of Biddy Mason

Join us for a celebration of the life and legacy of Biddy Mason, presented in conjunction with a monument by Ada Pinkston for LACMA × Snapchat: Monumental Perspectives. Poets will draw from the afterlife of slavery and the journey of Biddy Mason. Featured poets include Funmilola Fagbamila, Joyce Lee, Halima Olufemi with an introduction by Cheryl Cox and Robynn Cox Ph.D., descendants of Biddy Mason. Hosted by Tyree Boyd-Pates, Associate Curator of Western History, Autry Museum of the American West.
