Music & Lyrics: True Stories of an Underground Scene
Is there anything more satisfying than hearing the first few notes of your favorite song? We want to hear your stories about that magical moment or any other you’ve experienced related to music. Music + Lyrics: True Stories of an Underground Scene is a storytelling open mic where folx from all walks of life can share their hip-hop experiences – from battle rap to pop music – in a 5-minute story.
Join the Library Takeover team who brought you the Essential Stories event this spring as they host their second storytelling event downtown at Central Library on October 27 from 7-9PM. Expect to hear from some featured speakers, including headliner and DJ local musician and spoken word artist Rob Dz. Sign-ups begin 15 minutes prior to the event – all are welcome to come and share a story on the topic of music.
