Milwaukee Art Museum | Virtual Lecture: A Closer Look at the Works in Americans in Spain

Welcome Richard Kagan and Marianna Shreve Simpson as, live from the galleries, they discuss select objects in the Americans in Spain: Painting and Travel, 1820–1920 exhibition, followed by a conversation with exhibition curator Brandon Ruud. Kagan is author of The Spanish Craze: America’s Fascination with the Hispanic World, 1779–1939, and Marianna Shreve Simpson is a scholar of Persian manuscripts at the University of Pennsylvania’s Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies.
