Wisconsin Hemp by Hand: Processing Hemp for Textiles Workshop

Join UW–Madison Professor, Marianne Fairbanks, for a hands-on workshop that will cover the processes of preparing the raw hemp into a material suitable for textiles. This will include a demonstration of braking, scutching and hackling the hemp to take it from rigid stalk to fine bast fiber that can be spun into yarn.
