Jessica Cooley

Ph.D. Candidate

Jessica A. Cooley is a scholar-curator working at the intersection of curatorial and museum studies, crip theory, and Modern and contemporary art. Currently, Cooley is a Ph.D. candidate in the art history department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison writing her dissertation "Precarious Objects: Conservation in the Art Museum after the Americans with Disabilities Act," which confronts the discursive framing and practical treatment of the unstable materiality of art object as the basis for revaluing disability in art institutions.
