Anna is a M.A. Candidate focused on studying the impact of medieval Christian pilgrimage on art and architecture in medieval Italy. She aims to zero-in on the relation between this art and architectural spaces with the visual themes presented in Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. Anna uses her extensive background in ballet, theater and other forms of dance to draw conclusions about the effects spiritual space has on the body. She holds a B.A. in Art History from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a concentration in Medieval Studies.
