Biography
Abby Armstrong Check explores female patronage, gender, prosopography, architectural performance, material culture, and the medieval built environment of (mostly) France and the Low Countries.
She is also an adjunct art history lecturer with Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and Mount Mary University. She received her Masters in Art History and Criticism from UW–Milwaukee in 2017 with her thesis entitled: “Jeanne of Flanders and the Patronage of the Chapel of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary in Laon Cathedral.”
