Sara Champlin

Position title: Ph.D. Candidate; Center for Visual Cultures Project Assistant



Sara’s research investigates the appropriation, fragmentation and re-use of public buildings in Asia Minor during the 4th through 7th centuries A.D. Since 2014, she has been the photographer for the archaeological excavations at Sardis, Turkey. She has also participated in archaeological endeavors in Pompeii, Italy and Burgos, Spain.
