Biography
Joanna is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her work examines the cultural construction and representation of landscapes. She is currently writing her dissertation on the outsider art environment Pasaquan, in which she employs vernacular landscape approaches to examine the landscape of Pasaquan as a subversion of traditional religious, political, and economic structures of power.
