Brott publishes article in Cartographica

Ph.D. candidate LauraLee Brott’s essay “The Geography of Devotion in the British Library Map Psalter (BL Add. MS 28681)” was published in the fall 2018 issue of Cartographica: The International Journal for Geographic Information and Geovisualization. Her article investigates how the pair of T-O maps at the front of the psalter allude to the content of the text and images in the historiated initials, arguing that the maps facilitate an active type of devotion. With support from the Department of Art History, LauraLee travelled to the British Library in 2017 to study the manuscript in person.
