Professor Bryan Keene (Art History, Riverside Community College) will be offering a workshop for graduate students and faculty. Please contact Professor Thomas Dale (tedale@wisc.edu) for the reading.

The workshop would look more specifically at curatorial strategies, challenges, successes, and shortcomings in presenting queer themes in historical and contemporary art in the museum setting. Participants can engage with readings by Dr. Keene related to the following exhibitions: Outcasts: Prejudice and Persecution in the Medieval WorldBalthazar: A Black African King in Medieval and Renaissance Art; and The Fantasy of the Middle Ages.
