Chinese Acupressure Techniques for Reducing Stress & Calming the Mind
In this hands-on lecture, Dr. Zhou will teach and demonstrate very commonly-used powerful acupressure points for both physical and emotional conditions such as headaches, neck and lower back pain, as well as anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. Students also will participate to work on each other to practice these acupressure points, and then themselves to reduce stress and pain. The lecture will also cover briefly on the difference between traditional Chinese medicine and modern Western medicine as well as the difference between acupuncture and acupressure.
This event will take place at Carson Gulley Center, 1515 Tripp Circle. This event is organized in collaboration with The Chinese Language and Culture Club (https://www.facebook.com/CLACCUW/about) and the International Learning Community’s Chinese House at UW Madison.
