Marie-Agathe Simonetti (Ph.D. Candidate) will present her latest research at the Center for Southeast Asia Studies on September 29 at 12 p.m. Her talk is part of the Friday Forum Lecture Series, a renowned forum presenting the work of leading Southeast Asian studies scholars. Her presentation “Photography as Propaganda in the Indochina War (1945–1954): French and Vietnamese Perspectives” examines photography from French and Vietnamese army operators and civilians to demonstrate the complexity and aestheticization of the war.
