Kyungso Min at the Smithsonian

Ph.D. candidate Kyungso Min has been selected as a Big Ten Academic Alliance Smithsonian Institution Predoctoral Fellow for 2019-20. This prestigious fellowship provides Kyungso a year of residency at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Asian Pacific American Center in Washington, D.C., for her dissertation project, “Post-translational Belonging: The Languages of the Future in Transnational New Media Art After 1984.” Kyungso’s doctoral research has been supported by the Japan Foundation, Seoul National University’s Kyujanggak Institute of Korean Studies, UW-Madison’s Institute for Regional and International Studies, Graduate School, and Joan B. Mirviss Graduate Student Research Award in Japanese Art History.
