Contemporary art and the Global South, memory studies, testimony, landscape, feminist art historiography.
Biography
Defne was a Junior Fellow in the Art Department at Goldsmiths for the 2022-2023 academic year. Following this, she continued to teach Foundation level Visual Culture courses in London before moving to Madison to start her PhD studies. She is also a member of the Archivo Research Platform for Photography and Visual Culture.
