Undergraduate Art History major Tanvi Dhariwal has been awarded the Hilldale Undergraduate/Faculty Research Fellowship and the Summer Honors Senior Thesis Award to support her Senior Honors Thesis. Her thesis titled “The Battle of the Bodies: Investigating the Erotic and the Ideal Body in Italian Renaissance Art” is directed by Prof. Jennifer Nelson and explores the tension between the sexualization of women in erotic imagery and imagery of the ideal woman during the Italian Renaissance.
