Levi Sherman (Ph.D. student) published a review of the Edgewood College Gallery exhibition Enrique Chagoya: Detention at the Border of Language in the inaugural issue of Venue: A Digital Journal of the Midwest Art History Society. The exhibition was held from February 9 to March 20, in conjunction with the Southern Graphics Council International conference. Venue reviews cover exhibitions in the Midwest, and aim to spotlight smaller institutions. This first volume is dedicated to the Midwest Art History Society’s ongoing series at the College Art Association annual meeting, “Icons of the Midwest.” The Volume Editor is Judith Mann of the Saint Louis Art Museum. MAHS will publish the journal bi-annually and is accepting submissions for the next volume.
