Ph.D. Candidate Amy Hughes will present her paper “Refracted Memory: Dissent, Trauma and Affective Politics in Stanislav Libenský´s and Jaroslava Brychtová´s Glass Sculptures in Communist Czechoslovakia, 1968–1980” on Friday, February 14th at the College Art Association’s Annual Conference in Chicago. Her paper is part of the session Cracks in the Canon: Reframing the Politics of Marginalization in Modern and Contemporary Art.
