
On October 1, the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts at the National Gallery of Art is hosting a virtual program, Fragments and Frameworks: Illuminated Manuscripts and Illustrated Books in Digital Humanities, organized by UW Art History alumni, Matthew Westerby (Ph.D., 2017), currently a Research Associate at the National Gallery. Matt will be presenting “Frameworks for Fragments: The Digital Lives of Miniatures” in the afternoon session beginning at 2:00 pm (EDT).
The program also features a current Art History Ph.D. Candidate, LauraLee Brott, who will be presenting “The Materiality of Medieval Cartography in the Age of Digital Discovery,” also in the afternoon session. Pre-register for the event here.
