Student Spotlight: Kyungso Min Defends Dissertation

Congratulations to scholar-curator (and now) Dr. Kyungso Min pictured here eloquently defending her brilliantly conceived and deeply researched dissertation that maps a new account of new media art—”Post-Translational Belonging: The Languages of the Future in the Trans-East Asian Circuits of New Media Art after 1984.” Deft analyses of archival finds that draw on her dexterity across Korean, Japanese, and English ground a daring vision of modes of belonging in the wake of translation. Dr. Min was advised by Professor Jill Casid.
