On May 4, 2022, Marie-Agathe Simonetti (Ph.D. Candidate) presented her research at the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris, France. Her talk was part of the panel “L’objectif anticolonial. Photographie et nationalisme vietnamiens, 1865–1930,” a panel on Vietnamese photography and anticolonialism. The talk was associated with Dinh Q. Lê’s retrospective at the Quai Branly museum, which is still on view.
Marie-Agathe gave a presentation on the link between photography and Vietnamese revolutionary activities in the 1920s in French Indochina. The event was successful and well attended. A recording of the event (in French) is now available online, here.
