On Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, Professor Thomas Dale and graduate students Claire Kilgore (Ph.D. Candidate), Nayoung Kim (Ph.D. Student), Tania Kolarik (Ph.D. Candidate), and Tirumular (Drew) Narayanan (Ph.D. Candidate) all took part in a Scholar’s Day in association with the Art of Enterprise: Israhel van Meckenem’s 15th-Century Print Workshop exhibition at the Chazen Museum of Art. Kilgore, Kim, Kolarik, and Narayanan all gave short gallery talks about a print in the exhibition of their choosing.
This exhibition was curated by James Wehn, the Chazen’s Van Vleck Curator of Works on Paper, who also organized the Scholar’s Day. Other participants included Katherine Alcauskas (Chief Curator, Chazen Museum of Art), Jennifer Nelson (University of Delaware), Suzanne Karr Schmidt (Newberry Library), Kirstin Pires (Editor, Chazen Museum of Art), Sophie Pitman (Pleasant Rowland Textile Specialist and Research Director for the CDMC), Femke Speelberg (The Met), Andrew Stevens (Emeritus Curator, Chazen Museum of Art), Debora Wood (Independent Curator), and Walter Melion (Emory) who gave the closing keynote lecture for the exhibition.
