Faculty News | Professor Dale To Present at Medieval Light Workshop & Stanford Symposia

Professor Thomas Dale will be having a busy week as he presents work at the Artificial Light in Medieval Churches between Byzantium and the West workshop and the Medieval Art & Music between Heritage, Modernity, & Multi-Media Symposium hosted by Stanford University.

The Artificial Light in Medieval Churches between Byzantium and the West workshop will take place Thursday, February 9th, 2023 from 8:00am–1:30pm CT. Prof. Dale’s talk, “The Phenomenology of Artificial and Natural Light at San Marco in Venice,” will begin at 8:45am CT. On Saturday, February 11th, 2023 Prof. Dale will present his paper, “Mary Magdalen and Sainte Foy: Exemplars of Spiritual Embodiment and Theosis in the Sculpture and Liturgy of Vézelay and Conques,” at 1:45pm CT.
