Ph.D. Candidate LauraLee Brott will be presenting “The graphics of knowledge in the twelfth-century Tournai maps of Asia and Palestine” as part of the Maps and Society Lecture Series at the Warburg Institute in London on March 23, 2023 at 11:00pm CT. Her talk will explore how the maps textually and materially relate to the manuscript they are bound to. These lectures in the history of cartography are convened by Catherine Delano-Smith, Peter Barber, Alessandro Scafi, and Philip Jagessar. Meetings in London are generously supported by the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association’s Education. The talk is hybrid and pre-registration is required, which you can do here.
