PhD Students Claire Kilgore and Tania Kolarik both attended the Multidisciplinary Graduate Student Conference at the Newberry Library in Chicago on January 23rd–25th, 2020. Claire presented her paper “Windowed Wombs: Holy Pregnancies Revealed” and Tania chaired the sessions “Constructing Female Power” and “Birth, Death, and Disability.”
Tania presented a 15th c. French Book of Hours for the Collections presentation. Check out St. Michael fighting a demon and St. John the Evangelist’s ink pot being poured out by another demon who has been defaced!
